One of our favourite TED talks by Malcolm Gladwell, Author of The Tipping Point. Gladwell talks about Howard Moscowitz, a pioneer in brand strategy and product development for the food industry and true believer of understanding variability.

"By embracing diversity, we will find a true way to happiness."

Why You Need Top 3 Results in Google

An interesting study by Think Eyetracking comparing search pattern behaviour in 2005 and 2008.

The results pretty much speak for themselves. Google is a habit and users don't have the time, nor the inclination to sift through pages, or even scroll down page one for results. The general psychology is that the most relevant content is up the top and therefore worthy of a click (SEO ethics debate, anyone?).

All the more reason to research what your customers are searching and launch an SEO campaign to ensure you stay ahead of your competitors.
